Once safe, notify your designated contact and monitor official updates. A quiet street or a reassuring social-media post does not mean an area has reopened. Return only when authorities say it is safe and follow any restrictions. Damaged structures, downed lines, and remaining hot spots may still pose dangers. Keep away from hazards and arrange qualified assessment where needed. Once safe, contact your insurer promptly for instructions, even if you cannot return yet. Document damage only when access is authorized and safe, and save records of necessary expenses.
